The Brief

Started in 2019 by sisters Julie and Kirsty’s desire to reduce plastic waste in the home, the idea for Bumble Wrap was established. After some experimenting to find the perfect mix of waxes, the reusable wax wrap was created. Already on Shopify, Bumble Wrap knew the benefits of the ecommerce platform, however it needed invigorating as their existing site lacked identity and fluency. 

Our Process

A complete redesign was necessary, not only to create the wow factor but to give users a better understanding of the products and their benefits. These benefits weren’t just environmentally focused, the wax wraps are also more hygienic and keeps food fresher for longer than plastic. It’s a win, win situation.

Our Solution

Diving into the world of wax wraps, we quickly recognised the importance of education. We combined tutorial how-to videos on the site, with an easy to navigate menu that allowed users to shop in a variety of ways regardless of whether they were returning customers or first-time visitors. In addition to redesigning the website and truly reflecting the Bumble Wrap brand and ethos, Thrive also ensured the functionality behind the scenes for Bumble Wrap was up-to-date.
